Good health in a modern lifestyle
What is actually meant by 'good health'? Most people would say something like 'feeling fit and healthy'. But of course, feelings are only part of it. People may feel fit but have illness or disease, perhaps they might not even know that they have health problems! Or they may not feel well but be healthy and free of illness or disease!
Unless a person has a specific illness or disease, then they would generally measure their health on how they feel!
Health is obviously important for people. Bad health restricts what people can do with their lives and can shorthen people's lifespans. Bad health makes everything that people want to do so much more difficult to manage. Try playing football with the kids if you are a smoker? Try to keep yourself busy if you don't eat properly, it takes your mind off being hungry.
The body is very much like a machine. If you don't look after your health then some things become much more awkward to do and eventually something will break!
But we have seen how some people are measuring their health by their feelings. Their whole lives can revolve round their feelings and dictate what they can do.
Feelings are powerful and can impact lives.
